When we discovered (quite accidentally, by the way) the extraordinary blueprint hiding within the Lazarus story, we knew we had unearthed something different. Something unusual, yet very practical. We see the success people have with the Six Steps of the blueprint, and are delighted to make this new help available to anyone who will use it. Holistic teachings and spiritual principles have always been the core of our professional work. Mary-Alice has a master of arts in humanities and has taught at the university level. Richard, with a graduate degree in psychology, has been a substance abuse counselor. Together we studied and taught at Life Therapy Institute in California, and later founded Spirit of Life, Inc., a not-for-profit spiritual and educational organization dedicated to all aspects of wellness and which published the national wellness newsletter Life-Lines. In addition, we established and owned health food stores in California, Alabama and Texas. In the 1990s we were the Directors of Silent Unity, a worldwide prayer ministry serving people of all beliefs. Receiving over two million calls and letters a year, Silent Unity is the largest and oldest prayer ministry in the world. Our responsibilities included serving as executive editors of Silent Unity's magazine Daily Word, the world's largest circulation daily inspirational magazine, published in 17 languages, sold in over 30 countries. We have lectured in the U.S. and U.K., and have appeared on numerous radio and television shows. Several of our co-authored books have been best-sellers in the U.S. and internationally, and many of our articles have appeared in national magazines. In fact, in the 1980s we were contributing editors for National Greyhound Update. (Greyhound dogs, that is. Not buses.)
